Stoke-on-trent

city description

Stoke's musical heritage is rich. Robbie William is one of Stoke’s famous musical sons, but did you know that Guns n' Roses legend Slash is born-and-bred in this Potteries city? In the '70s, it's Northern Soul pedigree was second-to-none while the 80’s and 90’s bore witness to an explosion of rave, techno and house scenes. Its historical architecture has become the setting of many bars and nightclubs throughout the area but if you've avoided that hangover, pop down the road to Alton Towers for some stomach-churning fun. I've lived in stoke all my life and it's such a cool place to be. Hanley town centre for shopping then out to all the clubs at night. I recommend aruba for 2 4 1 gorgeous cocktails like sex on the beach and ultimate chocolate! Then u could always hit a free bar which is 7 quid to get in and all your drinks are free OR walk past the clubs grabbing flyers and get drinks 4 really cheap or for a quid! For the rockers get to sugarmill and 4 the dancier kinda stuff head off 2 liquid or jumping jacks! added 20 / 08 / 08 06:04

I didn't go to any open days...but i just visited stoke the other day to see where i would be studying! I wasn't very keen on the surrounding area because it seems like theres not too much to do round there, not to mention it wasn't very welcoming. I'm bit worried about going now...but hopefully i will meet some decent people who can change my mind about it. added 20 / 08 / 08 03:00

Stoke is a right laugh. If you want a laugh and a cheap night this is the place, they're always handing fliers out and stickers to get free drinks or drinks for a pound or stuff like that. and everythings right in the middle so no trekking around! I suggest Sugar Mill for a chillax and Liquid for dancing! But Veolcity to start your night at! x added 10 / 08 / 08 01:36
