hey goin to hull uni in less than two weeks..
never bin there before.. was sort of a last minute thing
will be doing economics! anybody else doing that course? and is it a nice place to live/study??

My understanding is that the west of the city is really nice but the north and east are terrible?
Also I've been told to avoid Spring Hill... :/

hii.
just incase anyone isnt sorted with accomodation yet,i no of a 3 bedroomed house with avalibility to enter a fourth person into the contract its just off clough road(very close to pubs/shops and only a 10 minute walk from the university with close bus links to town) its 44.50 a month per person and is very spacious and fully furnished, with a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom, also with a large garden and parking at the front of the house. if intreset

btw hull is not that bad tbh much underrated in the press, just got to avoid certain areas. And the night life has been voted the best in the uk allegedly.

I dont live in HULL. I live in Bridlington...its on the East Coast near Hull. I love bridlington. Visit it. You'll love it. XD

Hull is great, been here for 11 years and loving it. Check out the Adelphi, famous for live bands and had some massive names eg, Radiohead, The Fall charlatons Happy Mondays ........ the list goes on! Also the Welly club, we do an underground Techno night once a month, also great for bands and dance music. Check oout Beaslys clothing in the old town and a good couple o other vintage shops. Great people great pubs great uni!

I have lived in hull all my life, I live near the edge of it. I can tell you now tis a great place to come and live. I live it here, but I am moving away for University, YAY, I am going to miss the farms I live near, and the shops in town. I'm gonna be coming back as much as possible (assuming I can avoid my family ^_^)

i live nr skirlaugh nr hull,im goin 2 sheffield hallam nd i cnt wait to leave hull,dnt get me wrong hulls great,,,if u know where 2 go lol i think its gettin better tho... EAST VS WEST??? deff east !!

I live in Beverley which is near Hull and I love it. However I'm excited to be going to Sheffield Hallam Uni in September. It should be something different. =D

Hey i have lived in hull all all my life and it aint too bad at al :D cant wait to experience the student life at hull uni cnt see it been that different to my life now i love to go out round hull and to spiders :D

I am from Hull and I have to be honest in saying that it is not the best place to live but...I'm sure they are worse places and the University scores highly which is why I am not moving further afield.
Anyway, is anyone starting the English with Creative Writing course this September?

i live in scarborough...where hull also has a campus and it is a pretty town with a couple of places that you must visit if you go on a night it. so good to party!

I live in hull but going to do my studies at Lincoln uni. Hull's not a bad place to live but i feel that i have lived here a bit too long and want to try out other cities and meet new people. The shopping centers aint too bad either and can get some nice but most important cheap clothes in them. If anyone is coming to Hull to study here and want to know more just get in touch with me. bye for now

i live in hull,,, there seems to be less chavs on the scene,, but stil a lot a lot.
can't wait to get out of the city really for uni, to a much more vibrant city where half the buildings arent boarded up because of vandalism and wheres there more than 2 !actual! 'decent' clubs - sugarmill and welly!
the unis got good ratings though!
