city description

Bristol, home to almost 100,000 students, boasts two universities and a fistful of colleges all gathered around a relatively small city centre. Bristol, formerly a major trading port, has a very lively feel to it. The recently developed area around the docks is teeming with bars and clubs to suit all tastes. For LGBT students (and their fun loving friends) in Bristol, the queen shilling is a great night at a good price. Bristol also plays host to a great range of bars to get your night going including walkabout, lloyds, chicago rock and revolution. And thats without considering the bar highway that is gloucester road. Stepping away from clubs and bars Bristol is a great city for the more cultured as it is home to the world famous Old Vic Theatre, the hippodrome and the arnolfini. added 04 / 09 / 08 08:46
