Hi anyone actually over 30 and doing this university thing for the first time? I'm 39 and going to Sussex, American Studies and politics - the age 19+ didn't quite do it for me - where are you going? what are you studying? and why now?

I am 50 but this is a second time for me. First time was HND Computer Studies in the days when Liverpool John Moores was good old Liverpool Poly. Did stuff on a mainframe that filled a huge room on the top floor at Byrom Street. This time Podiatry at Northampton.

I'll hit 30 during the first year of my degree (biomedical sciences at essex). Didn't make it to uni the first time around. I was a bit fed up with education then and I didn't really know what the hell I wanted to do with my life. At least now I have some sort of direction :)

I'll be 34 when I start my English with Creative Writing degree at Nottingham Trent Uni.

I live by the maxim that you are only as old as the woman you feel and as I'll be surrounded by young freshers I hope to be 19 years old again... however don't tell my wife that as she'll kill me. Stick out tongue

I'm 30 two weeks before i start degree. Sort of fell into work and got used to the money. Realised a couple of years ago that the money might be nice but i was bored stiff and actually quite hated the work so decided to do something about it. Now i'm off to Brunel to study Social Work!!! And i cant wait...
