Yes, the two languages are very similar. Even if an Estonian has never studied Finnish (or vice-versa), they can still understand quite a bit of it.

Frankly speaking, I don't really care about that. Coz you know, people are so friendly and outgoing here that I'm confident you'll be able find friends from another countries and form your own company as I did already))))

Hey guys, latvian here. I'm applying for, well, more than one uni lol but I think the firm choice would be Greenwich. Film & TV production. Nice 2 hear from you all cause I guess we're making too small number in overall to divide ourselves in 3 separate nations at this forum, eh? :D Anyway, to keep on with the discussion - how did u all decide to study in UK?

Hi mates! I am from LTU, applying for physics and maths. Personally first year in my hometown university seems a lot like a gap year, in fact it even proposes kind of degradation for advanced students; nevertheless getting a place in foreign university is both demanding and expensive. UK meets all the requirements I have for uni and is close to LTU :) But my choises are mainly based on financial support, as after graduation the liest what I expect from life is paying bills.

Hi ~ I'm one more Lithuanian~ nice to meet some Baltic ppl here=)) Hmm...I chose the UK, because I simply love it;) it's full of opportunities, multicultural, interesting, colourful, old-time but modern at the same time,.....i even can't enumerate all the reasons;) what's more, courses there include much more practice and teaching methods are up-to-date.. ***Also interested in physics.. _____________________________________ MY CHOICES: Aberdeen - Medicine; Microbiology Liverpool - Medicine Sheffield - Medicine Glasgow - Medicine
