Why cant i search for members

Regardless of what i type in the member search i get this error:

An unknown error has occurred "

Apparently, there are no students in glasgow going to strathcylde university :O

what the **** is the point of this site if you can bloody search for people going to your university, it can't be that hard of a problem to fix!
