I don't think so. Just because people can do well in exams doesn't mean they are being made easier. It seriously annoys me when adults say this, can't they just be pleased for us? Seriously, if they think A Levels are getting easier they should try and do them.

 Some people. Tut Tut

It's not being dumbed down, the reason... they just made the marks scheme extremely hard this year I believe.

Look at the Olympics, every time there are new records broken.... but these too will eventually be beaten. People just work harder to achieve and this is the case with A levels, every year people get better!

A levels are designed to give us what we need for future jobs, if what we need now is different from what people needed a few years ago, lucky us.

I think our passed teachers deserve some thanks here... It's not just us better at learning - it's them better at teaching, and without them - we wouldn't be where we are today!

THere's just so much pressure and competition to succeed and be someone now-a-days. Why don't they just take it as the edication system's gotten better and improved, like they're either slating it then when it works and prduces results they slate it, like the NHS, people never compliment how it actually does work they just criticise the negatives, like pest control, heck, if pest contrl wasn't just one of those things that happens then the pest contorl compnay wouldn't exist to be used in the first place!

 Urgh, rant over

Well done everyone by the bizzle, hope you got what you needed

The people who always like to criticise the exams and the results are people who more often than not have not sat an exam in the last 20 yrs! Also so what if the pass rate is getting higher shouldn't people be glad we are all not failing and that most uni's are oversubscribed rather than empty!

Well, the subjects themselves are no easier... but the marking is more leniant, I mean, 80% being an A is a little ridiculous...

i didnt take A-levels but i know where everybody is coming from.

its how the human race advances. if people from the stone age could see us now they wouldnt think that life got easier and somehow this modern age fell into our laps.

it anoys me when people try to take away your achievements because they didnt do as good as your doing.

A-levels getting easier is just an excuse for other peoples failures.

I think that the new AS/A2 system with modules throughout the year make them a bit easier to pass than the old A-Levels where is was one exam at the end of 2 years, but I don't think the subject matter is any harder.
