payment schedule letter

u know that letter that has all the payments on it, and when u shud get them, has anyone received it yet? i have a letter that sort of has some figures on it, no dates or anything, but it says on there that i shud get that payment schedule three weeks prior to my course. if by the course they mean frshers week, then i shud av had it on monday, and if by the course they miss out freshers week, it shud be next monday. either way, im still a bit confused, so just wondering if anyone has any info about it, since i need it for induction. thanx

Yea i've received it bout 2 weks ago, but i applied for my loans etc.... months ago! Im sure it will be with you on time as the loans company etc... know you will need as evidence to show your uni you can pay fo the course and any other acommodation charges (if nessesary).

If not im sure the uni will know what to do otherwise!

ahhh daniel, that explains it. i drove upto the loans company centre on deadline day to submit the info lol.

i think i'll give that a go if its not here by monday zanne, tbh i cba doing anything at all right now lol

got mine today

however.... it says my tuition fee on it only. i dont think im having a maintenance loan coz im staying at home, do i? is there meant to be anything else on it? grant or something

 Well my payment Schedule only shows my Tuition Fee Loan and Maintenance Loan.

chrissy, mine only showed the tuition loan, is maintenance loan to help with living? coz im living at home, so i dont think i get that. or i mite be thinking of something else.

but yeah, maintenance grant is needed to buy books which cost a bomb, so ring up and tell them, they'll tell you whats wrong, and u might also need to ring ur local authority up, which usually takes ages (mine does anyway, the one from preston). but eventually, it shud get done and they shud say something like we will re assess ur application. if u dont get another letter before uni, just ring us or something...

incidentally, does anyone know how long they will take?

maintenance loan is usually for living costs. if you stay at home you normally don't get that, but you can still try and get a maintenance grant which is on a sliding scale depending on parental income.

i got my payment schedule letter about a month ago i think. no info with it on how i claim a bursary (which i'm entitled to).
had no final notifiation from student finance direct, just a letter about provisional payment i should be entitled to.

you should usually have the letter by the time you enrol i think, providing there's been no problems with the lea or slc. if you've had problems it may be a little bit later, meaning your loan/grant will be paid later.

If you want to check the status of your application just check the slc website by logging on.

"Awaiting Further Information"; even though the information was sent to them a few weeks ago..
