Demolition Due

The rain ran down her back, the lack of bricks hit her smack between the eyes.
And sighs as she realised the sign, demolition due 19th July
Falling into place, in a way, she could afford to be nostalgic.
Picked up on her demise apparent in her eyes in the back room.
As soon as she walked through, their hands clasped round their hearts, started circling like sharks.
Circle a boat and just staying afloat, amidst her tears and lager cans.
The saga plans to take a very different course to what it was on.
And falls flat on its face, in case I don’t get chance to say this again,
That apparently my love, if this was enough she’d be all smiles.
When all the while she beguiled some unsuspecting child and held her own.

Soaked to the bone
I’ve already gone and thrown myself
Head first, burst into the deep; awake or asleep? God only knows.
